Inspired by a meditation held by Jeff Gurkin-Young (queerzenmeditation, LOFT, New York, US) I was drawn to the canvas. One piece of music stuck in my head as I reviewed the waterfall meditation. It took me a while to find it again: Christian Sinding, “Rustle of Spring”. Only then could I begin with the painting.
The melody accompanied me as I painted, the sound of the waves crashing into the depths, the sea spray that splashes up, sprinkling the flowers, leaves, trees and rocks with water; everything is flooded with light. A celebration of colors, and of light.
