The painting “Moor und Wald” (marsh and forest) was inspired by walks with my dog through the ‘Stodthagener Wald’ and ‘Kaltenhofer Moor’ (a local forest and marsh). Forests and marshlands create new habitats for endangered species. Nature is allowed to develop naturally. The deadwood of trees stays there to nurture microorganisms. Visitors can observe the constant renewal of the forest. Nature takes care of itself and is constantly regenerating.
