This sculpture of a black castle on a steep mountain or rugged cliff with dead, fallen trees was inspired by a fairy tale I wrote in my autobiography, which is pieced together like a mosaic or puzzle from various pieces and writing styles. The autobiography is not yet finished:
“…. Once in a while, a glimpse of light seemed to flash through the black sky, so that one could recognize differences among the dark shadows for a blink of an eye….”
As in Dadaism (the art form originated around 1916 and had its peak until the mid-1920s), a wide variety of things were used to complete the gloomy, absurd, nightmarish sculpture.
