In Pieces and Perfect

The vase I found in the basement while tidying up was broken. Throw it away? No. Following the Japanese tradition of Kintsugi, or Wabi-Sabi, I believe it’s never about perfection, but about the beauty in the imperfect, which can turn into something new. Joined together with plaster bandages and painted with gold paint, the vase gets a new life.
And with a water lily from the small garden pond, the new vase takes on yet another new character.
